The experience

Conceptualized by Pravin Pillay, The rain is the river is the ocean brings together live and responsive elements in a shared field of sound, movement and projected visual media. It asks participants to encounter water not as backdrop, but as a continuing system of life, memory and relation.
The work has served as a foundational collaboration within MOVE37XR: a meeting of musical composition, interactive media and dance choreography that continues to inform later immersive projects. It evolved into Bardo, extending this inquiry through interactive installation, mixed reality, spatial voice and movement-responsive environments.
